Richard McCaffery is President of McCaffery & Company, International Management Consultants.
The company was founded in 1994 and is based in Sarasota, Florida.
McCaffery & Company specializes in growth generation for clients in the branded consumer product and services sectors, with extensive experience in apparel, textiles, health care, and retailing. Our services include strategic planning, business development, product development, market research, advertising and graphic design. Clients have included AMPORTS, BeautiControl, Bergdorf Goodman, Blue Bird Corporation, Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, Calvin Klein, Coach, Creative Memories, Escada, Gap, GenTek, Gifts.com, Gruppo GFT, London Fog, Lenox Brands, Malden Mills, Maxim Crane Works, MHN Behavioral Healthcare, Mulberry Neckwear, PacificCare, Pinehurst, Resources for Living, and USA Mobility.
Prior to forming McCaffery & Company, Mr. McCaffery was Executive Vice President of Marketing for DFS Group, Ltd., the world’s largest duty free retailer. His marketing responsibilities included new product development, market research, sales promotion, packaging design and trade industry relations. In addition to these responsibilities he managed a staff of 80 people in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.
Prior to his four years with DFS, Mr. McCaffery was a Senior Partner with Marketing Corporation of America where he established and managed the firm’s retail and fashion consulting practice. At Marketing Corporation of America, Mr. McCaffery was instrumental in developing brands such as Deneuve fragrance, Hanes Her Way intimate apparel, and Saks Fifth Avenue’s private store brands Real Clothes and The Works.
Mr. McCaffery’s industry experience also includes positions with American Express Travel Division as Vice President of Marketing, North America; The Limited Stores as Vice President of Marketing; and Avon Products as Director of Advertising.
Mr. McCaffery received a BA degree in Government from Harvard University.
